Koh Phangan's First Ethical Elephant Sanctuary
Koh Phangan's First Ethical Elephant Sanctuary
Hello and a warm welcome to Koh Phangan's very first ethical elephant sanctuary, which has finally opened!
Come and join us at Phangan Elephant Sanctuary for a unique experience, where you can spend quality time with a small herd of elephants that have been rescued and now live harmoniously as a family. Witness the elephants relishing their newfound freedom with awe and delight as they communicate through joyful trumpets, engaging in playful activities and exploring their lush jungle habitat.
As a guest, you can anticipate a meaningful and eco-friendly encounter with these magnificent creatures within a small group setting. You will have the chance to personally feed the elephants, accompany them on jungle trails as they forage for food, and observe their interactions with one another as they indulge in a mud bath and engage in playful splashing in their pool. By visiting us, you will also be actively contributing to sustainable and ethical elephant tourism practices.
Elephants do not have a voice, so we want to be their voice by not tolerating
the following points in our sanctuary:
No Riding
Just because elephants are huge elephants doesn't mean they can carry heavy loads.
No Bathing
Elephants are not forced to bathe several times a day because it's not in their nature.
No Entertaining
There is no forced entertainment for our visitors by elephants.
